POSITION SUMMARY
By working directly
with customers, install, maintain, and provide service on
telecommunication voice and data products sold by TOTLCOM – with special
emphasis on local and wide-area networking. Requires a valid California
Drivers License and a reliable vehicle with insurance current with
company standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for the
installation, modification, repair and preventative maintenance on
telecommunications equipment and related systems sold by TOTLCOM.
Performs hardware and software moves, adds and changes. Responds to and
repairs all trouble reports related to voice and data circuits.
Performs work according to company and industry standards. Must be
available for abnormal work hours upon short notice.
Performs all Level D and Level C assignments plus,
works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable
judgement is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
May determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Must be able
to install, program, and maintain the entire range of company products.
Must be able to accurately estimate job costs and document labor and
materials requirements. Serves as a “lead technician” and provides work
direction to other field service technicians.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
This is a senior level position. Minimum
Requirement – Valid California Driver License, reliable vehicle
and have at lease three years of increased responsibility and
demonstrable and verifiable experience in building, installing and
supporting software based voice and data communication systems.
Certification on Toshiba product lines and data-grade cabling is
highly desirable.
